Accessibility and Parking

(For a more detailed account of our access arrangements please see our Access Statement here.)

Car Parking

There are car parking spaces in front of the Hall; how many of these will be available will depend on the events that may be taking place in the Hall at the time. It is safest to cross the road on the South side of the church. Doors are open on both the North and South sides of the church for services, on the North side only (yew tree avenue) at other times when the church is open.

By arrangement we will do what we can to welcome and escort from the lychgate or mark off additional space for a visitor with difficult mobility.

For weddings and funerals additional parking can be made available in the field behind the Hall. There is a charge of £50 for the use of this field.

Disability Access

We encourage everyone, including those with disabilities, to join us.

Wheelchair users

The footpath from the lychgate to the church building is wheelchair friendly, and the Church has a disabled WC. Please ask for help in siting a wheelchair during services when you arrive.

A wheelchair can be found next to the WC on the right when you enter the church building. It is there to help those who are attending services or for short term loan in the community. Please make use of it at any time to help gain access to the building. If you would like to borrow it, please contact the Parish Administrator.

Hearing impairment

There is a loop system in the church building. Please turn your hearing aid to the T setting to make use of it. If you are having trouble hearing, please speak to a sidesperson or churchwarden.

Sight impairment

Please ask for large print hymn books as you arrive.

If you find pews uncomfortable

Cushions are available, but you are welcome to bring your own.

If you find it difficult to access the altars

Please tell one of the sidespersons and Communion will be brought to you.
