Our young people are a vital part of our church community. Be they in the Junior Church, singing in the choir, playing with the toys at the back or sitting with their parents and families we rejoice in their presence.
The group arranges fund raising events throughout the year to support causes in our own country and abroad. Some examples of such causes are:
• Helping refugees and displaced people
• Providing clean water and sanitation
• Fighting poverty and hunger
• Promoting education and health
Throughout the year our church is adorned with beautiful flower arrangements. These are the work of our flower arrangers team, who are to be found not only creating the arrangements but also keeping them looking their best during the week.
Our bellringers are a friendly and welcoming group of people who enjoy ringing bells. We have a ring of eight bells, which we ring for all main services at the church. We also ring for special occasions, such as weddings and funerals.
The PCC is the governing body of our church and its members are trustees of the charity ‘PCC of St John the Baptist Westbourne’, registered charity number 1130732.
